LINUX

Linux just like Windows or Mac OS is just another operating system. an operating system is responsible for the communication between your computer’s hardware and software. Linux is open-source which means that anyone can download its code and create an entirely new distro of Linux. This is the reason why you can find thousands of Linux distros. Unlike Windows, Linux is completely free and you can download it from the internet and start using it. There are a wide variety of options to choose from based on what you use your computer for whether it is gaming or programming or hacking Linux has a distro specially designed for each of these purposes. The terminal in Linux is much more powerful than the command line and this is why hackers prefer to use Linux rather than Windows and if your planning on making a career in IT then knowing how to use the Linux command line will be an added benefit for you. A lot of people are also ignorant of the fact that a lot of apps that we use in our day to day life like chrome, firefox and thunderbird are all based on Linux. Since a majority of people use windows hackers design their viruses for Windows which makes Linux safer when compared to Windows. People are of the impression that Linux is hard and that you need to master the terminal to use Linux whereas this is completely wrong. You can use it just like how your windows or Mac OS although knowing the command line will allow you to effectively use your computer. Linux is light and requires fewer resources thus making it an ideal OS even for very old computers. If you’re a beginner who would like to get started with Linux then there are distros like Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Fedora that are specially designed for beginners so that you can make your transition into windows as easy as possible. After you become familiar with Linux and learn the command line then you can shift to other distros like Arch which require some amount of expertise. Hope this post helps you realise the benefits of Linux and helps make your transition into Linux a breeze
